Do you know what it takes to work for the Lord, and to have the Lord work through you? It is very much like making a cake, really, you just have to mix the right elements
Firstly, you have to have the biggest and main ingredient. That ingredient is willingness. The human WILL! Without a heart that is surrendered to the idea that God can use you, and that you can do things that please God, you cannot be used of God. Why? Because working with God is a matter of relationship. Two WILLS in agreement can accomplish anything. The will of God and the will of a human makes a majority vote in the plan and accomplishments of the Spirit.
Secondly, you need to moisten the willingness with the exercise of FAITH! Faith is NOT blind; contrary to popular opinion. Faith is a persuasion that is so IMMOVABLE that there is nothing impossible. Where there are limitations, yet a willing soul who has faith in it’s heart, the LORD will be able to manifest. It is not that He is powerless to manifest without the human element, but rather that He so much wants to work WITH His creation that He will WAIT until He can find a man or woman who will stand in the gap.
Thirdly, you need to stir the Spirit with your WORKS. It may seem crazy at times to step out to do things that are supernatural when you know that you are MERELY human, but that is why the Lord says, “trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not upon your own understanding”. You may have to be like Moses and raise a rod, before the Red Sea parts, or be like an Elisha who smites the Jordan river yelling, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?!”
The only remaining element is the baking; and we call that PRAYER! When a humble soul kneels with a heart full of willingness, confessing 100% conviction in the power and response of the Almighty, then the very ACTION of prayer becomes HOLY. God is a rewarder of all those who take off their shoes on the Holy Ground of the Spirit. Yield now! Don’t wait.
