Trust…. Trust?… Trust!…. Trust?… Truuusssttt… Oh, trust.
When it comes to living and surviving on planet Earth, you only have a few places that you can put your trust. But when you come down to scripturally considering them, in the end you will find out that there is only one place you SHOULD put your trust. Let’s take a quick tour of things we trust in, and what God says.
Should we put our trust in our flesh?
Php 3:4,8 … If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more… Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss …and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.
Should we put our trust in our knowledge?
Proverbs 3:5 … lean not unto thine own understanding.
Should we put our trust in our own hearts?
Jeremiah 7:23-24 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
Should we put our trust in our own minds?
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Should we put our trust in our fellow man.?
Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
Should we put our trust in our selves?
Proverbs 19:3 The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.
Should we put our trust in our finances?
1 Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
Should we put our trust in Rulers, Kings, Governments?
Psalm 146:3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
Trust should be in ONE PERSON…
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart…
Jeremiah 17:7-8 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
