What is it that makes people so upset about the idea of a Supreme Being? God is Love; do we not like love? God cannot lie; do we prefer lies? God is Light and there is no darkness in him; do we really love darkness so much? God is righteous; yet we want nothing to do with him? God is the source of all the fruits of the Spirit, all the gifts of the Spirit, all the Wisdom of the Spirit and all the pleasures in Heavenly places; is that really so bad? God is Life and Truth; don’t we want to really live and be free? God is all powerful; don’t we need help too?
Scripture segment: ‘Seek ye first the Kingdom… of HIM’.
He has a kingdom at his disposal, and he is offering that to all mankind. Do we like this world so much that we would reject not only the Kingdom but the King as well?
The quote says: “rationalize God in your own mind”; yet, does not the author ‘rationalize no-God’ in his mind? The quote says: “justifying your delusions”; yet, we who have heard Him speak, seen Him in Action, read the writings of others who spoke with Him, even cities, tribes, and Nations that have visited by Him rightfully say, ‘what delusion’? Surely delusion is to decide God does not exist just because you haven’t personally met him yet.
I have not met 99% of the dignitaries on the earth; yet I know they exist.
I have not visited 99.99% of all the planets in the universe, but I know they exist because some person ‘saw’ them in a scope, or ‘heard’ them in a scope, or saw pictures a ‘satellite’ sent back. How do I know those evidences aren’t all delusions, illusions, or insane confusions? I don’t have to BE the one IN the experiences; I just need to accept the witnesses OF the experiences. However, I am profoundly glad that I don’t just live by second hand, third hand, etc, knowledge. He sought me out and He found me; I sought for more of Him and he revealed more of Him to me.
Who is truly “insane” around here? If we define ‘sanity’ as “There is no God get over it”, well then, I think insanity must be the right choice. God did indeed tell us the truth through the Bible writer; it is after all ‘foolishness’ to the wise (and natural) man. But then again, it is better to be that than being ‘the fool who says in his/her heart ‘there is no God’. Maybe the author just likes the self-delusion of believing he is a supreme being all by himself. Pity.
