Prophets Speak – People Hear
The words of the prophets ring in our ears,
that the return of Christ is very near;
the demons tremble in unholy fears,
while the saints wait rejoicing in joyous cheer.
The victory was bought in yester-day,
but the triumphant return will take away,
the seat of the wicked, the evil and stray
who refuse to believe in the gospel way.
Oh, give thanks to the Lord who bought back your life,
who arose to destroy the darkness and the strife,
He says, “only believe!” so that you will have life,
Oh, give thanks to the Lord — be the Lamb’s wife.
Your eyes may be beholden from seeing all things now,
but the glory cloud is following you even now;
the Holy Ghost wants to show exactly how,
to live in His presence, and His eternal know-how.
Turn your eyes to the heavens and look in the light,
it will dispel all the darkness and destroy all fright,
you’re a child of the daytime and no longer of night,
just look to your Savior to help you win every fight.
With your tongue you confess the things you believe,
with you heart you decide in what state you will leave,
by your spirit you will conquer, and by will achieve,
all that you need to do before you will leave.
The ‘god of this world’ will never understand,
what gave you the strength to be bold and to stand,
but the God of the Heavens will surely demand,
that the Devil let go the grip of his wicked hand!
Yes, the words of the prophets and bible tell all,
And we will most surely answer the call!!
